We were honoured to host a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act awareness workshop for all our GD Goenka La Petite schools for our Teacher Tribe session this month. The session was facilitated by New Delhi District Legal Services Authority and conducted by Advocate. N. Vidya, a respected legal expert and child rights advocate.

The interactive session covered
  • Key provisions of the POCSO Act
  • Rights of children and responsibilities of adults
  • Recognizing and reporting abuse
  • Legal procedures and child-friendly practices

From teachers to administration and staff, everyone engaged in questions and thoughtful discussions, an essential step towards creating a safe and informed environment for our children. A heartfelt thank you to Advocate N. Vidya for the insightful session and to all participants for making child safety a shared priority! Let’s continue to learn, speak up, and protect.

This summer, we conducted a special teacher tribe session for our nannies and drivers, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills to ensure the well-being of every child.

Key Highlights:
  • Child safety & first - aid response protocols
  • Hygiene practices & daily routines
  • Understanding child behaviour and emotional needs
  • Communication with parents & teachers
  • Punctuality, discipline, and responsibility during pick-up/drop-off

This interactive session helped reinforce the important role our support staff play in a child’s daily life. Their dedication and commitment make a world of difference.

Our two-day residential training program was held at GD Goenka University Sohna Campus on 24th and 25th June, 2025 for our Principals, Coordinators and Teachers of all our GD Goenka La Petite schools. The session was carefully designed to empower our teachers with creative teaching practices while focusing on their professional growth.

a. From Remember to Create inspired by Bloom's Taxonomy
The session introduced preschool teachers to Bloom’s Taxonomy, a framework for organizing learning objectives by levels of thinking- from simple to advanced higher-order skills like creating and evaluating. The session focused on adapting Bloom’s Taxonomy to the early childhood context, helping teachers design age-appropriate activities that promote critical thinking and problem-solving.

b. A session at Le Cordon Bleu, School of Hospitality, at G D Goenka University
This hands-on culinary workshop conducted at Le Corden Bleu introduced our teachers to a variety of fresh, healthy, and easy-to-make ‘Jamun Shots and Green Apple Pie recipe’ ideal for school or home settings.

a. Quality Circle Time
This training focused on the importance of Quality Circle Time as a key part of preschool daily routines. Teachers learned how to create engaging, inclusive, and meaningful circle time sessions that promote language development, social skills, and active participation among young children.

b. Integrated multiple learning styles
The training session introduced Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences and stressed the value of supporting varied learning styles in early childhood education. Participants examined the eight intelligences—linguistic, logical-mathematical, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, spatial, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic—and reflected on how these intelligences may emerge in young learners.

We organised a session on Story Weaving / Creating Comic Strips using IT Tools by Ms.Raksha, Head of Department of Computer Science G D Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj. Through the session our teachers learnt to create engaging stories and turn them into vibrant comic strips using IT tools. The workshop was especially designed for early childhood educators to enable them in using simple, creative digital platforms to enhance storytelling and literacy development in their classrooms.
